UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - John Goodman was playing golf Sunday when a phone call informed him the Cincinnati Bengals were giving the former Dwenger and Notre Dame receiver an NFL shot.

Goodman was added by the Bengals as a rookie free agent and will join his best friend and longtime teammate, Cincinnati first round pick Tyler Eifert, next week at the Bengals rookie camp.

It was Eifert who Goodman was playing golf with when he got the call from Cincinnati.

Goodman in limited opportunities caught just sven passes in the 2012 season for Notre Dame, but three of them were for touchdowns.
