Fort Wayne (incnow.tv)- The Fort Wayne Mad Ants continued their fine home play tonight by knocking off the first place Canton Charge 94-81on Monday evening at the Allen County War Memorial. The loss was Canton's first road loss since December 22.

The Mad Ants started off strong by jumping out to a 14-6 lead off of an Anthony Harris running jumper, and the Mad Ants never looked back. They stretched their lead to as many as 16 in the second quarter due to some stout defense, and Fort Wayne went into halftime with a 51-35 lead.

Fort Wayne came out of the half very stagnant, and Canton continued to try to push themselves back into the game, but the Ants were able to withstand their attack. However, in the fourth quarter, the Charge finally broke through and got within four on a strong and-one play by JaJuan Johnson. The Mad Ants stopped the run, though, on two tough basked by Tony Mitchell that pushed the lead to 86-78, and Fort Wayne never looked back on their way to the 94-81 win.

Canton was led by Josh Selby's 17 points, Kyle Gibson's 15 points, Michael Eric's 13 points, and Arinze Onuako's 12 points.

The Mad Ants were led by Tony Mitchell's 32 points, Luke Harangody's 20 points, Ron Howard's 11 points, and Miles Plumlee's night of 8 points and 11 rebounds.
