Snider, Luers Grab Sectional Crowns; Carroll Ousted

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - John Nelson had another big night with 263 rushing yards and five touchdowns as Snider ousted Kokomo in 5A sectional play for the third year in a row Friday night 52-28.

The Wildkats' Armon Bridgeforth was superb in defeat with 256 yards on the ground and all four Kokomo touchdowns.

Snider will host Hamilton Southeastern in regional play.

Jaylon Smith ran for three touchdowns to lead Bishop Luers to a 34-7 win over Churubusco and another sectional championship.

The Knights travel to Tipton for regional.

Chad Gindelberg threw for two touchdowns and ran for another in leading Penn to a 5A sectional final 31-8 win at Carroll.

Grant Wilson scored the lone Carroll touchdown.
