FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - We have new information to bring you regarding the fight that followed the Snider - North Side High School football game last Friday night.

Indiana's NewsCenter first reported Friday about the melee that took place between players on the field during the post-game handshakes.

North Side Coach Ryan Hall said both during post-game interviews and again on 'More of the Score', that the fight was started by Snider players throwing punches at North Side players.

Coach Hall was the only person to go on record assigning blame.

The IHSAA was alerted to the fight and requested Indiana’s NewsCenter’s video of the game and additional video from Fort Wayne Community Schools.

In a call late Wednesday afternoon, an IHSAA spokesperson told Indiana’s NewsCenter they have reviewed the tape and at this time they are leaving it in the hands of the school system to take care of.

If the schools cannot come to a resolution or if they ask for assistance, the IHSAA will then step in.

When Indiana’s NewsCenter requested the video from Fort Wayne Community Schools the request was denied.

However, Indiana’s NewsCenter was able to obtain some video that has not been seen before now.

In the video you can see that during the handshakes after the game, a North Side player was pushed in the back by a Snider player, who then turned around, pushing that Snider player and threw a punch.

This is the only punch that is clearly seen in the video.

It is a swarm of players after that with at least one North Side player being reeled in by one of his coaches after charging at Snider players.

Officials with both schools tell us that two players from each school have been disciplined as a result of Friday night's incident.

We will continue to follow this story closely and bring you the latest as it develops.
