Jay County, South Side Surprise at Huntington, Leo, Harding, Luers, Bluffton Move On

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Jay County, South Side, Harding, Leo, Luers and Bluffton scored boys basketball sectional semifinals wins Friday night.

Scott Schweiterman scored 15 points to help Jay County turn back Homestead 58-45 at the 4A Huntington sectional.

Evan Rhoades paced the Spartans with 14 points.

Rapheal Davis notched 35 points as South Side took out North Side 88-70 in the other semifinal at Huntington.

Quilyn Howard-Upshaw led North with 19.

Leo rallied in the fourth quarter for a 67-66 win over Concordia at the 3A New Haven sectional, led by the 18 points of Luke Pepple.

Zach Chrzan of Concordia led all scorers with 26 points.

Alandis Milligan had 20 points and V.J.Beacham 14 as Harding ripped Bishop Dwenger 62-42 to join Leo in the New Haven final.

James Blackmon, Jr. had 21 points and Jaylon Smith 16 as Bishop Luers walloped Adams Central 91-55 at the 2A South Adams sectional.

Maverick Baumer led the Jets with 15.

Chandler Okey's 18 points helped Bluffton roll to a 61-27 win over Woodlan in the other game at South Adams.
