Norwell Upsets Peru: Elmhurst, Blackhawk, Canterbury, Central Noble, Eastside Victors

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Brandon Gerber's 20 points aided Norwell in their 53-51 upset of 19-1 Peru Friday night at the 3A Norwell sectional.

The Knights moved to Saturday night's final against Elmhurst, who got 20 points from Pervis Hall as they took down Wayne 61-52.

Russell Byrd hit for 23 points and Tim Howard hit a tiebreaking layup following a turnover in the final seconds as Blackhawk Christian edged Bethany Christian 52-50 at the 1A Hamilton sectional.

The Braves will play Canterbury in Monday's final after the Cavs got past Hamillton 72-62 led by the 26 points of Austin Hatch.

Jeremy Altimus dropped in 22 points as Central Noble outlasted Churubusco 64-59 at the 2A Garrett sectional.

The Cougars move into Saturday's final against Eastside, who used 19 poiints from Chris Deal in their 48-39 win over Fremont.

Jacob Thompson and Keegan Beer each had 20 points as Wawasee scored a 73-70 win over Columbia City at the 3A Columbia City sectional. and the Warriors will meet West Noble, a 66-53 winner over NorthWood, in Saturday's final.
