FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - With South Side clinching the girls' Summit Athletic Conference Championship last week, Friday night's match-up between 4A No. 9 Snider and 2A No. 2 Bishop Luers was a good final test for both teams heading into their respective sectionals.

Clutch fourth quarter play from the Lady Panthers sealed a big win over the defending 2A state champion Lady Knights.

Deja Wimby led all scores with 19 for Snider. Miracle Wood netted 18 for Luers, while Brooke Ridley had 14.

Snider head coach Ryan Gould talked with Dean Pantazi and AWP Director of Operations Scott Zeigler about his team's big win, and the confidence it gives them heading into the state tournament.

Up next for Snider is a sectional first round game with DeKalb at the Carroll sectional. Luers drew a bye in their bracket, and will play Friday the winner of Bluffton and Eastside.
