LEO-CEDARVILLE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - For five years, Bishop Dwenger has owned 4A Sectional 12. The Saints, coming off big wins over Columbia City and New Haven, were looking for their sixth straight sectional title, and yet another step towards a return to state.
Leo had aspirations of their own. Their move from 3A to 4A in the offseason--following a 2010 sectional crown of their own--made Sectional 12 one of the more intriguing brackets in the state.
Leo running back had 178 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Lions to a 35-14 victory, perhaps the biggest win in school history. The defense played stellar, too, intercepting four passes from Bishop Dwenger quarteback Mike Fiacable.
Leo linebacker Myikell Payne joined Tommy Schoegler and AWP President & CEO Michael Ledo to talk about the Lions' sound sectional championship win.
