FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Snider and Bishop Dwenger both had big semi-final games Friday night against familiar foes.
Snider met North Side, who beat the Panthers in Week 6. The game will long be remembered for the postgame brawl that saw players suspended and removed from teams.
Snider used their strong running game, led by running back John Nelson, to avenge the regular season loss with a 35-14 victory.
Not too far down the road, Bishop Dwenger hosted a New Haven team with deep postseason aspiriations of its own. But it was the Dwenger defense holding New Haven running back Te'Vaughn Hurse to 123 yards that sent the Bulldogs home and the Saints to their sixth-straight sectional championship game.
Snider running back John Nelson and Bishop Dwenger Steven Espinoza talked about their respective schools' wins with Tommy Schoegler and AWP President & CEO Michael Ledo on More of The Score.
