FORT WAYNE (www.incnow.tv) - South Side and Homestead are set for their expected 4A Homestead Sectional final meeting after semifinal wins on Friday night, while Angola gained the final at the 3A Dwenger Sectional.
Lakeesha Stephens had ten points as South Side got all but one player into the scorebook in their 50-18 4A Homestead Sectionall semifinal win over New Haven, who got a team high eight from Hannah Hope.
It was tougher for Homestead, who had to overcome an eleven point halftime deficit and did with a big third quarter rally to turn back Huntington North 43-35.
Sydney Buck keyed that thrid quarter flurry and ended up with 23 points, while Huntington North was led by the eleven points of Allyson Trout.
Claire Grubb tallied eleven points and Rachel Rinhart chipped in ten more to lead Angola's 50-27 romp over Garrett, which puts the Lady Hornets in the final of the 3A Dwenger Sectional on Saturday night against defending sectional and state champ Concordia.
