Snider, Dwenger, Heritage Advance: Whitko Out; AC, Wawasee Move On

UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - Snider, Dwenger, and Heritage all won big in Friday night sectional semifinal games, while Whitko lost on the road, and Adams Central and Wawasee stayed alive.

Brandon Phelps fired three touchdown passes and Je'norie Smith ran for 105 yards with a touchdown to help Snider to their 45-9 5A Sectional 3 semifinal win at Wayne, earning a date in the final at North Side.

D'Marcus Moon ran for two tochdowns and Cody Miller tossed two touchdown passes as Bishop Dwenger built a 28-0 one play into the second quarter and coasted to a 36-14 win over Columbia City in the 4A Sectional 12 semifinal, advancing to play at Norwell in the final.

Connor Sheehan threw for 376 yards and five touchdowns while adding a sixth on the ground to spearhead Heritage's 49-8 rout of Tippecanoe Valley. Will Knapke caught two of Sheehan's touchdown passes to help the Patriots advance to play Jimtown in the 3A Sectional 18 final.

Jimtown won its way into that title game with a 55-7 demolition of Whitko as Tanner Adams ran for 100 yards and three touchdowns and Devan Emerson went for 95 yards and two scores.

Kurt Blake ran for 92 yards and four touchdowns as Adams Central soared past Southwood 42-7 and into a 1A Sectional 35 final date at North Miami.

Wawasee took a 31-28 decision from NorthWood as Clayton Cooks caught two touchdown passes and Derrick Sorenson ran for 111 yards and a touchdown, gaining the Warriors a shot at Concord in the 4A Sectional 11 final.
