Carroll, Homestead, Heritage, North, Northrop, Bellmont Friday Night Winners

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Carroll and Homestead took important NHC wins Friday night, while Heritage won a non conference matchup, North Side and Northrop won in the SAC, and Bellmont netted a long overdue NHC triumph.

Justin Tranquil scored a pair of touchdowns and Stallone Yovanovitch returned an intercepted pitchout 50 yards for a score as Carroll stayed in the hunt for a piece of the NHC title with a 20-6 win at Columbia City.

Minus several players, Homestead prevailed over winless Norwell 20-7, as Matt Skowronek threw for a touchdown and Wyatt Butcher ran in for another to keep the Spartans perfect and put them in position to win the NHC with a win over New Haven next week.

Brenton Lockett ran for 203 yards and two touchdowns and also caught a touchdown pass in Heritage's 26-7 non conference win over Jay County, and the Patriots can gain a share of the ACAC title with a win over conference leader Garrett next week.

C.J. Jackson rambled for 102 yards with two touchdowns and three three of his five pass completions in the game went for scores as North Side bopped South Side 42-13 to retain the Totem Pole.

Colin Brockhouse passed for three touchdowns and 308 yards in Northrop's 33-31 overtime win over Wayne.

Josh Hall scored three times and Trevor Love went for 152 yards on the ground with two scores in Bellmont's 34-6 success over DeKalb.
