EAST NOBLE, Ind. (21Alive) - East Noble High School football is again becoming a team to be reckoned with in the Northeast Hoosier Conference.
The Knights finished 7-3 last season, losing to Elkhart Concord by 3 points at sectionals. The loss prevented what could have been a deep postseason run for East Noble, and has left the Knights looking for more.
Final Day 3 stop. East Noble, Knights using heartbreaking playoff loss to Concord as motivation, think they can be solid offensively again— Dean Pantazi (@DeanPantaziINC) August 8, 2013
"The kids are excited," second-year head coach Luke Amstutz says. "They know they're right on the cusp of making a big move."
The passing game has progressed at East Noble with Grey Fox at wide receiver and Harold Wolfe at quarterback. The Knights will use a no-huddle offense that could make Fox and Wolfe one of the more prolific tandems in the area.
"Everybody's use it," Fox says about the no-huddle offense. "It's an advantage we like to have on other teams."
East Noble plays three teams from the newly formed IHSAA's Class 6A, which should provide a good measuring stick for offseason improvements.
