FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Summit Athletic Conference can be a microcosm of the season for many teams in the league.

Perennial powerhouses Bishop Luers, Snider and Bishop Dwenger use the conference slate for a strong post-season push.

The Knights dominated competition all season, going 13-1 (6-1 in SAC) on way to the Victory Bell and 2A state championship. Luers' lone loss came in a forfeited 53-0 win against South Side for use of an ineligible player.

Snider finds themselves as championship contenders again. Kurt Tippmann will have his Panthers licking their chops for a Week 1 match-up against Luers that could very well determine the conference crown.

Dwenger was poised for another great season before quarterback Mike Fiacable went down with a season-ending torn ACL. But the Saints pride themselves on depth, which keeps an eye on Dwenger again this year.

And not to be forgotten is North Side, whose surprising wins over Dwenger and Snider last year awoke an SAC sleeper one game from the league title. The Redskins could be near the the top again if head coach Ryan Hall and his players have anything to say about it.

Tommy Schoegler and AWP's Michael Ledo and Scott Zeigler preview the SAC on Sound Off, and give their preseason conference picks.
