FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - On the day the National Football League gets "Back to Football," another setback for Colts quarterback Peyton Manning grabs many of the sports headlines.
The Colts confirmed in a statement Thursday that Manning underwent a anterior fusion neck surgery earlier in the day. The Colts say there is no timetable for Manning's return.
With Manning out for the foreseeable future, Kerry Collins has been given the starting nod. Collins, a veteran NFL journeyman, has been a consistent winner throughout his career.
Manning's status will remain in question for months, but how far can a Collins-led Colts go in 2011?
Colts radio play-by-play announcer Bob Lamey joins Tommy Schoegler and Kent Hormann on Sound Off: NFL Preview Edition from the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery to preview the Colts.
