FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - With the standings tight in the Midwest League, the Fort Wayne TinCaps are hoping for a strong push down the stretch to clinch a playoff spot.
TinCaps outfielder Kyle Gaedele says the lockerroom is abuzz over what the next few weeks could mean for the team.
"We want to win for each other," Gaedele told Dean Pantazi on Sound Off With The TinCaps presented by Northern Indiana-Ohio Chevy Dealers. "Since we're right in the thick of things, it creates a lot of excitement in the clubhouse."
Gaedele says he has worked extensively with hitting coach Jacque Jones to improve his at bats--everything from approach to swing.
"I just came into the second half (of the season) with a different mentality," Gaedele said. "Telling myself to stay consistent. Just stay with what I know how to do."
