FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The Fort Wayne Komets have re-signed a key player of last year's squads.
Winger Christian Ouellet has agreed to terms for a second season in Fort Wayne, the K's announced Monday.
Ouellet, 23, from Alma, Quebec, Canada, was traded to the Komets in January after splitting the first half the season with San Francisco and Emira. He netted 7 goals, 8 assists (15 points) in 33 games. He added three goals in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Additionally, the Komets added right winger Angelo Esposito, forward Alex Hudson and goaltender Pat Nagle.
Esposito, 25, of Montreal, enters his sixth professional hockey season with the last two in the AHL. He scored 10 goals and 28 assists with Chicago, San Antonio and Texas.
Hudson, 27, of Corona, Calif., just finished his third pro season with Bakersfield of the ECHL and Manchester of the AHL.
Nagle, 27, of Bloomfield, Mich., is the first goaltender added to the preseason roster. He had a 2.73 goals against average in 43 games with Idaho last year.
Monday's additions bring the Komets preseason roster to nine.
