Komets Add Goaltender Through Trade (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The Fort Wayne Komets landed goaltender Cody Reichard in a trade on Wednesday.

Reichard was acquired from the Florida Everblades in exchange for future considerations.

Reichard, 26, of Celina, Ohio, enters his second professional hockey season. He played 27 games with Stockton Thunder (2.64 goals against average) and 7 games with the Houston Aeros of the AHL (2.41 goals against average) last season. Stockton traded him to Florida in March.

Reichard played college hockey at Miami University, played on the 2011 National Championship team and earned NCAA Player of the Year in 2009-10.

The K's now have 24 players on their preseason roster.
