FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Eddie Long has long been one of Fort Wayne's most beloved sports figures.

Long is one of the original Komets, playing winger in Fort Wayne from 1952-1965. "Mr. Komet," as Long is affectionately called, logged 858 career games in 14 seasons with the Komets. He holds the record for most career regular season goals (425) and ranks second in K's history in points (924). He was inducted into the Komets Hall of Fame in 1987.

Long shared some of his fondest memories as a Fort Wayne Komet and his hockey career with Tommy Schoegler in the second segment of Sound Off With The Komets.
