FORT WAYNE (www.incnow.tv) - The top overall picks in the past two Major League Baseball drafts by the Houston Astros helped the Quad Cities River Bandits to a 6-3 win over the TinCaps Friday night.

2013 top pick Mark Appel pitched four innings and fanned four while allowing home runs by Corey Adamson and Gabriel Quintana that accounted for all three Fort Wayne runs.

And 2012 top pick Carlos Correa had a two run homer for Quad Cities, which went ahead for good with a three run fourth inning.

The TinCaps open a series with the Cedar Rapids Kernals Saturday night.
