DAYTON, Ohio (www.incnow.tv) - It took Zach Eflin six tries, but Saturday night, the righthander earned his first professional win as he TinCaps beted the Dayton Dragons 5-3 in the opener of a three game series.
The victory was the fourth in a row for the TinCaps, marking their longest winning streak of the season.
Eflin allowed a leadoff homer to Zach Vincej in the bottom of the first inning and then retired the next 13 batters in a row.
Brian Adams and Dane Phillips each hit solo homers, and Luis Tejada and Stephe Carmon also drove in runs for Fort Wayne.
The TinCaps are now a season best eight games above the .500 mark.
