FORT WAYNE, Indiana (21 Alive) - The TinCaps let a 9-0 lead slip away, then rallied for an 11-10 win over the Great Lakes Loons Monday to close out the Midwest League regular season.
The Caps plated a season high eight runs in the third inning to take a 9-0 lead, but Great Lakes rallied to erase that deficit, scoring four runs in the seventh to tie the game at ten.
Then the TinCaps scored the winning run when the Loons committed two of their six errors on one play off a pickoff play gone bad, letting Rodney Daal score all the way from second on the two errors with what proved to be the winning run.
The TinCaps will work out at Parkview Field Tuesday afternoon before boarding a bus to Bowling Green, where they begin a best of three playoff series with the Hot Rods on Wednesday night
