BOWLING GREEN, KENTUCKY (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The TinCaps hit the Midwest League All Star break in a funk Sunday, as the Bowling Green Hot Rods finished a three game series sweep of Fort Wayne with a 9-3 victory.

Unlike the first two games of the series, the TinCaps did manage to score, on a first inning double play ball with the bases loaded, and on a ninth inning Lee Orr two run double.

In between, the Hot Rods scored four times in the third, three runs coming in on a bases loaded triple by Josh Sale, and added a two run homer by Jake Hager in the fifth, scoring nine times in all without a reply from Fort Wayne.

The TinCaps suffered their first series sweep of the season, and the five game losing streak is a season worst.

The Caps are off for the All Star break until Friday when they host Lake County.
