TinCaps Get Walkoff Win Over Wisconsin in Series Opener

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Travis Jankowski singled home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the TinCaps a come from behind 4-3 walkoff style win over Wisconsin Saturday night.

It was the only time Fort Wayne led in the game.

The Timber Rattlers scored in the first off Matt Wisler on a double by Ben McMahan, and added to their lead in the second on a wild pitch by Wisler.

Lee Orr's hard infleid grounder netted the Caps' first run in the second, and their second came on a fifth inning Jankowski sacrifice fly.

Trailing 3-2 in the ninth, Orr pulled Fort Wayne even with a single to center scoring Duanel Jones, Orr's first hit since June 28th.

A sacrifice and an intentional walk later, Jankowski smashed his game winning hit to right to plate Austin Hedges with the game winner.

The two teams continue their three game seriss Sunday afternoon.
