TinCaps Drop Opener In Peoria (VIDEO)

PEORIA, Illinois (www.incnow.tv) - Jacob Wilson drove in two runs to key the Peoria Chiefs' 5-1 win over the TinCaps Saturday night in the opener of a three game series.

Rain held up the game for 39 minutes after the fifth inning.

Gabriel Quintana accounted for the only Fort Wayne run with a leadoff solo homer in the second inning which at the time tied the game at one.

But Peoria regained the lead in the bottom of the inning on a Nick Martini sacrifice fly and never lost the lead after that.

The two teams meet again Sunday afternoon in Peoria,
