FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The TinCaps dug themselves a 10-0 hole, and then missed by a run of coming all the way back from it before falling 10-9 to the Lake County Captains Wednesday.

Lake County plated six runs in the first inning, helped by five walks, and held a 10-0 lead in the fourth inning.

But the TinCaps put up six runs of their own in the fifth, the rally capped by Jake Blackwood's fifth home run of the season, and pulled within a run in the eighth on a Chris Bisson RBI double and a wild pitch.

They got no closer though and dropped the rubber game of the three game series.

The TinCaps open a three game set at Dayton Thursday night.
