TinCaps Bats Sing In Slugfest Win Over Dayton (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) - The TinCaps roared back from an early 3-0 deficit, banging out 14 hits in a 14-9 win over Dayton on Memorial Day.

Dustin Peterson's hot bat continued to roar with three hits and four RBI, while Fernando Perez had two hits and knocked in three runs, while Josh VanMeter and Dane Phillips each has two hits and two RBI.

The Caps took the lead with three runs in the second, added five more in the third, and then after Dayton had closed the gap to 9-7, Fort Wayne put up five more runs in the fifth to draw away again.

The TinCaps will try for a three game sweep of Dayton at 11:05am Tuesday.
