UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach and former Indiana University head coach Kelvin Sampson's name has surfaced as a candidate for the now vacant head coaching job with the Detroit Pistons.

Sampson has been with Milwaukee since being forced out at IU in 2008 amid an NCAA investigation into his recruiting practices that netted IU three years probation.

Two other names with Indiana University ties are also mentioned as candidates, Isiah Thomas and Mike Woodson.
