Ravens Hold Off Niner Rally To WIn Super Bowl XLVII

NEW ORLEANS (www.incnow.tv) - Joe Flacco fired three first half touchdown passes and the Baltimore Ravens withstood a big second half rally by the San Francisco 49ers to win Super Bowl XLVII 34-31 Sunday night.

Flacco threw the scoring passes to Anquan Boldin, Dennis Pitta, and Jacoby Jones in the first half, and Jones began the second half with a Super Bowl record 108 yard kickoff return touchdown to move Baltimore out to a 28-6 lead.

But then a 35 minute delay came because of a power failure that took out a portion of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome lighting, and San Francisco took over the game after that.

They scored 17 points in four minutes on a Colin Kaepernick touchdown pass to Michael Crabtree, a Frank Gore touchdown run, and a David Akers field goal to creep within five points, and then within two in the fourth on a Kaepernick scoring run.

But in the final minutes a potential go ahead touchdown pass on fourth down inside the ten yard line of Baltimore fell incomplete, and the Ravens had won their second Super Bowl title.
