FORT WAYNE, indiana (www.incnow.tv) - A ninth inning rally came up a run short Saturday night as the TinCaps dropped a 7-6 decision to the Dayton Dragons with San Diego top 2013 draft pick Hunter Renfroe in the lineup.

Refroe flew to Fort Wayne Saturday from the Pacific Northwest, and playing with very little sleep, had a single, a double, and an RBI walk.

The TinCaps erased a 2-0 deficit with four runs in the second inning, but Dayton replied with five runs in the fifth and never trailed again.

Rodney Daal had a solo homer in the ninth when the TinCaps scored twice to cut the deficit to one run, but got no closer.
