Pacers' Hibbert Fined $75,000 For Postgame Slur And Profanity

UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - The NBA on Sunday fined Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert $75,000 for "inappropriate and vulgar language".

During the postgame news conference following the Pacers' 91-77 win over the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals Saturday night, Hibbert first used a homophobic slang term describing his defense on Miami's Lebron James and then a profanity when answering a question from a media member.

Hibbert on Sunday issued a statement apologizing for both remarks, saying they were "disrespectful and offensive".

The NBA announced the fine later in the day.
