INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (www.incnow.tv) - Lance Stephenson and Roy Hibbert both hit for double-doubles in keying the Pacers' 106-99 win over the New York Knicks Saturday night, giving Indiana the NBA Eastern Conference semifinal playoff series in six games.
The aggresive Pacers won by shooting 22 more free throws than New York, and outscoring the Knicks at the line 34-18.
A 39 point performance by Carmelo Anthony went for nothing, as balance won for the Pacers, led by the 25 points and ten rebounds from Stephenson and the 21 points and twelve boards from Hibbert.
Paul George added 24 for Indiana, and George Hill, cleared to play just before the game from his concussion, tallied twelve in 42 minutes.
The Pacers' Eastern Conference Final series with the Miami Heat starts Wednesday night in Miami.
