ORLANDO, Fla. (21Alive) - Fort Wayne native Kristi O'Brien was eliminated on the Monday episode of The Golf Channel's reality show, Big Break Florida.

O'Brien lost an Elimination Challenge of episode 7.

"This is such a positive experience," O'Brien said in a post-elimination interview on the Big Break's website. No matter what happened, I'm just so blessed that I got to be here. Bigger things are to come, and I'm still fighting through everything."

Kristi--former Bishop Luers High School standout, two-time women's city golf champion and 2011 Indiana Player of the Year--will continue her professional career in hopes of making the LPGA Tour.
