UNDATED (21 Alive) - Brandon Marino, the Komets' scoring leader the past two seasons and the ECHL scoring leader this season, has signed with a team in Hungary for the 2014-15 season.

The 27 year old Marino has a deal with the Sapa Fehervar A19 club, and informed the Komets on Friday of it.

Marino did not return a call seeking comment, but Komet president Michael Franke believes he may have signed the deal sometime ago.

And it is Franke's opinion that a Marino return to the Komets could come in the future.

Komets' head coach Gary Graham said Marino deserves the opportunity which Graham thinks could double or triple Marino's salary.

Marino's 30 goals and 88 points led the Komets, and the 88 points led the ECHL this past season.
