Mad Ants Retain Leading Scorer Lazare

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NeweCenter) - The Mad Ants have retained the team’s leading scorer from last season, Darnell Lazare, for the 2011-12 season.

Lazare played in all 50 games for the Mad Ants last season and averaged 16.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game..

Other returnees who will join Lazare on the training camp roster include, Walker Russell Jr., Ron Howard, Chris Hunter, Marvin Phillips Jr., and Corey Allmond. The Mad Ants are also inviting Antonio Smith, a 6’9” forward out of Michigan State, to training camp via open tryouts.

The remaining roster spots will be filled tomorrow as the Mad Ants select 10th in the NBA Development League Draft.
