FRISCO, Tex. (21 Alive) - Chris Douglas-Roberts sank a free throw on a technical foul with point nine seconds left to give the Texas Legends a 100-99 win over the Mad Ants Friday night in the NBA D League season opener for both teams.

The Ants reportedly will contest the result of the game, brought about by a team turnover for taking more timeouts than they had coming.

Douglas-Roberts' 21 points lead all scorers, while Ron Howard's 19 and Alek Czyz's 15 topped the Ants.

The two teams meet again Saturday night.
