Komets Top Wheeling, Head To Florida For Three (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) - Matt Carter tallied a pair of goals, Brandon Marino had three assists, and the Komets closed out their game week Sunday with a 4-3 win over the Wheeling Nailers, one of several teams the Komets are battling with for an ECHL Eastern Division playoff spot.

Chris Auger and Shawn Szydlowski also scored for the Komets, who used the third period, usually the period in which they suffer at home, to score three times and gain the win.

The Komets take the day off Monday and then fly to Fort Myers, Florida on Tuesday, where the play the first of three straight against the Florida Everblades on Wednesday night.
