FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) - Despite a hat trick by Mike Embach, the Komets dropped a 5-4 decision to the Orlando Solar Bears Wednesday night, further damaging the K's hopes of reaching the ECHL playoffs.

After spotting Orlando a 2-0 lead the K's rallied to lead 3-2 after one on Embach's first two scores and one by Shawn Szydlowski.

But former Komet Mickey Lang tied the game for Orlando 29 seconds into the second period, and Connor Goggin put them in front for good late in the period.

The Komets with the loss stayed two points behind Florida for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot with eleven games to play.
