Komets Stumble In ECHL Debut

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Kalamazoo Wings blitzed the Komets with four straight second period goals and spoiled the K's debut in the ECHL with a 4-1 win Friday night.

Prab Rai, Darren Archibald, Elgin Reid, and Eric Kattelus all put pucks past Charlie Effinger in that second period, and Effinger was replaced by Kenny Reiter at the start of the third period.

The honor of scoring the Komets' first ECHL goal went to Brandon Marino on a power play in the third period.

The Komets travel to Evansville for the their first ECHL road game Saturday night.
