Komets Nab First Win Over Evansville

EVANSVILLE (Indiana's NewCenter) - The Komets finally solved the Evansville Icemen on thekr third try of the season, posting a 5-1 win in Evansville Thursday night.

Jean-Michel Rizk put the K's in front in the first period, and then after Evansville matched that score later in the first, Frankie DeAngelis, Artem Podshendyalov, and Chris Auger scored in the second for a 4-1 lead after two.

Jamie Milam wrapped up the Fort Wayne scoring in the third period.

The K's outshot Evansville 38-25 and Nick Boucher turned aside 23 of 24 shots for the win in goal.

The Komets host Dayton on Friday night..
