Komets Loses Penalty Filled Fracas At Gwinnett

DULUTH, GEORGIA (www.incnow.tv) - The Komets fell in a fight filled 3-1 battle at Gwinnett Friday night, splitting the two game of their trip to Georgia.

Daniel Maggio scored late in the second period to tie the game at 1-1, only to have Gwinnett regain the lead on Evan Bloodoff's shorthanded goal with 30 seconds left in the period.

Gwinnett scored into an empty net with 41 seconds left in the game, and the first of two huge brawls broke off five seconds after the ensuing faceoff.

Seven seconds after play was resumed, a second melee broke out, with the two brawls resulting in 114 minutes in penalties.

The game in all had 37 penalties totaling 154 minutes.
