ELMIRA, New York (21 Alive) - Former Komet Mike Vaskivuo tallied a pair of first period goals to lead the Elmira Jackals to a 4-1 win over the Komets Sunday, giving Elmira the finale of the weekend three game series between the two teams after Fort Wayne had won the first two.

Chris Auger's second period goal was the K's only tally of the match, and it was followed minutes later by two more Elmira scores 37 seconds apart.

The Komets lost despite a 36-20 edge in shots on goal and possibly in part by going oh for five on the power play.

They wrap up their four game run on the road Wednesday night at Wheeling.
