FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -- We have seen some flashes earlier this season that the Komets were awakening, and they and we hope this past weekend is the real deal this time, two solid wins Saturday and Sunday, good offense, defense and goaltending across the board.
The 6-1 win Sunday over Mississippi finally moved the K's out of sole possession at the conference cellar.
The boys instead view it not looking behind them, but looking ahead.
Just 13 points out of the division lead, and with games in hand on just about every other team, no one is ruling out a worst to first run, but not all at once
But all is not good news for the Komets tonight as talented young center Chris Francis has been yanked out of here up to Springfield of the American League.
The four goals and seventeen points in 28 games and solid play he showed will be missed.
