FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Fort Wayne Mad Ants head coach Conner Henry won 2014 NBA Development League Dennis Johnson Coach of the Year.

Henry led the Ants to a franchise record 34 wins and the No. 1 seed in the D-League Playoffs in his first season as coach.

The Ants won 13 of their last 15 regular season games, and clinched the Eastern Division Championship by six games.

Henry served as an assistant for two years prior to being named head coach.

The award is named for the late NBA Hall of Fame player and former D-League coach Dennis Johnson.
