UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Central Hockey League has lost the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs but regained the Quad City Mallards.

The CHL champion Mudbugs were foleded late Thursday by their owner. Tommy Scott, when a season ticket sale goal with a target of 2,500 sold seats barely netted 1,000.

Scott claims to have lost $1.5 million in the two years he owned the team.

In the meantime, the Quad City Mallards have been purchased by Club 9 Sports, a Chicago based firm, who plan to operate the team in the CHL next season.

The Mallards' previous owners had closed the team down after last season.
