Fort Wayne (Indiana's NewsCenter)- Something about this years Komets team just loves drama. For the second time in as many nights the K's came from behind in the closing moments to get a win, this time a 4-3 victory over Bloomington in overtime.
The K's had a 2-1 lead in the third period but in fifty seconds the Komets went from up a goal to down 3-2 after two Blaze goals. Leo Thomas came through with a goal late in regulation to send the game into overtime and then J.M. Rizk netted the game winner just a few minutes into the extra session.
The win coupled with a loss by Evansville puts the K's just 3 points back of Evansville in the Turner Conference. The team is in Quad City on Friday night.
