Former TinCap Latos Fired One Hitter To Beat Giants

SAN FRANCISCO (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Mat Latos, who a year ago was in the TinCaps' starting rotation, threw a one hitter and drove in the only run of the game as the San Diego Padres topped the San Francisco Giants 1-0 Thursday.

Latos' gem allowed the Padres to sweep the three game series with the Giants.

The one hit, which gave the Giants their only baserunner, deflected off Latos in the sixth inning and stayed in the infield.
