Fort Wayne, IN — The Komets announced Monday that center Justin Hodgman will return to the Komet lineup in search of his third Fort Wayne IHL Championship ring.

Hodgman, 21, made his pro debut during 2007-08 skating the last 11 games of the season with the Komets. The Brampton, Ontario native led the Komets to the Turner Cup crown with five goals and eight points appearing in all seven post-season games. Hodgman scored the championship game winning goal in triple overtime against Port Huron May 12 and was named the 2008 Playoffs MVP. After returning to the Erie Otters for 2008-09 to complete his fourth season in the OHL, Hodgman returned to Fort Wayne for the last six games of the season and skated all 11 playoff games to collect his second Turner Cup Championship.

Hodgman has split time during 2009-10 with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL and Toledo Walleye of the ECHL. In 38 games with Toronto, Hodgman scored seven goals and 12 points. In 33 games with Toledo he registered nine goals and 21 points.

Hodgman is expected to be in the Komets' lineup this weekend when the Komets complete the 2009-10 regular season slate beginning Friday at Quad City at 8:05pm. The Komets will then host Quad City Saturday at 7:30pm and skate their regular season finale Sunday at 5pm against the Flint Generals.
