Firehawks To Open Season; Female Kicker Ready To Contribute

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Fort Wayne FireHawks will open their first season Friday night against Cincinnati at the Memorial Coliseum, and they will have something no other Continental Indoor Football League team has, a female kicker.

Katie Hnida will handle field goals and extra points, something she was the first woman to do in a major college football game.

She says the smaller CIFL goalposts will not be a problem.
