Ants Win, Howard Leaves Team To Play In China

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - With only seven healthy players available, the Mad Ants roster found a way to defeat the Los Angeles Defenders 128-108> Friday night.

Oliver Lafayette led the way with 30 points while Sean Sonderleiter xcame up big with 25 points and 21 rebounds.

Before the game, the franchise's alltime scoring leader, Ron Howard, said goodbye to fans before leaving to play in China.

James Wright led Los Angeles with 25 points.

The Ants move on to Tulsa for their next game on Sunday.

Behind Lafayette and Sonderleiter, Anthony Kent recorded his first double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds as Jason Straight recorded a season high 23 points.
